The Simpsons: Tapped Out

Hello. It's JB, and I just wanted to apologize for not posting in forever, but I will be doing a posting spree today. If you don't know, The Simpsons is an animated comedy running since 1989.

In The Simpsons: Tapped Out, you take the role of a city builder rebuilding Springfield after Homer slept on the job and blew everything up. You can build various buildings to bring back characters, and buy land expansions to make more space. This game has many fun quests and is very entertaining. You need to be connected to WiFi to play this game. This game is free, and rated 14+.
The show itself is rated TV-14.

Modern Warfare 2

Hey, guys. I apologize for not being able to blog in a while. I figured I would change things up a bit and review an Xbox game. I would also like to funnel you over to my YouTube channel. Please check it out at www.youtube.com/JBFisher. I know it's not the best, but please check it out.

Modern Warfare 2 (or MW2) is a first-person shooter in the Call of Duty series. This is my 3rd favorite game in the series and many people's first. MW2 has most of the standard features of other CoDs, but no bots. I know for some people this doesn't mean anything, but for some it does. You can buy this game for 9.99 USD pre-owned at http://www.gamestop.com. In case you are wondering, I have not done any videos on MW2 on my channel. The ESRB has rated MW2 mature, or 17+.

Madden NFL Mobile

Hello. I apologize for not being able to blog in a while, so I will be posting a few extra blogs to try and make up for it.

As some of you may know, I play football and love most things football. Madden Mobile is basically Fantasy Football where you can buy different players and you actually play. It's really just Madden 15's Ultimate Team mode on a phone or tablet. I like this game, it's very up to date, and I love football. If you don't know much about football, Madden makes it easy for you with the update team button, which automatically makes your team the highest possible overall. If you get this app by the end of October, you get a bonus breast cancer awareness and Halloween pack. (Just a player and a few coins.). There are in-app purchases, but they are optional.

The Powder Toy

Hello. I apologize for not being able to post for a while, but I've been doing A LOT of other things. I will try to be better at making up posts. Let's start.

The Powder Toy is a sandbox sidescroller very comparable to The Sandbox on iOS. You can drop many particles to create different ones. You can summon fighters and stickmen. Fighters attack the stickman, and you can control the stickman. You must give the characters something to fight with (An element). The way to install it is to download the file from http://powdertoy.co.uk/, open it, extract The Powder Toy, and open it. Have fun!

Ultimate Robot Fighting

URF

In URF, you try to beat the opponent's robots with yours. This game a lot like World Robot Fighting, and it's made by the same developer. To heavy attack, swipe, and to light attack, tap. The way this is set up is that you get three bots and your opponent gets 3. You can tag out at any time. You have to defeat multiple other teams. The storyline is that people did botfights, then created robots to control the fight robots. You are the first human challenger for decades. This game is free and rated 10+.

Micro Battles 1-3

Hello. Today I will be reviewing the Micro Battles series. Let's get started.

In Micro Battles, you try to play different games to beat your opponent. I don't really like this game. The coding is crappy, and you can play once a day. The games aren't extremely fun, and you have to pay $1.99 per app to play as much as you want. There's not much to say that's positive about this game, so I'll just end it here

The Escapists

Hello. Today I will be reviewing a computer game called the Escapists. I'll admit, I don't actually have this game. I have been watching a lot of Youtube, and it seems to be a great game in concept and coding. This game takes you into different prisons, and you have to escape. It's a very fun game, and can get very complicated.

In the Escapists, you are chucked into a prison where life isn't that bad, and you have many different ways to escape. You can craft various items to help you escape, and there is a ton of ways to escape. The list of prisons are listed from easiest to hardest: Center Perks, Stalag Flucht, Shankton State Pen, Jungle Compound, San Pancho, HMP-Irongate, Fhurst Peak Correctional Facility (DLC $0.99), and Alcatraz (DLC $1.99).

If your plan to escape includes stealing a key from a guard, you need to craft molten plastic and a wad of putty. Knock out the guard and take the key, put the key and putty in the crafting interface, put the key back in the guard's pockets, go to your cell, and put the putty with the imprint of a key together with the molten plastic. This will make it so the guards think nothing happened.

As you can see, this game can get complicated. VERY complicated. I would give this game a 9/10.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II

Hello. Today I will be doing a review on one of the most popular games in the Call of Duty series. It is my personal number one, but many people have different preferences. The main thing that sets Black Ops II apart for me is the scorestreaks. Scorestreaks are in most of the Call of Duty series. They are earned by getting a certain amount of kills. For every gun kill is is +100 points. There are many different scorestreaks and I will attach a link to a site that shows them. There are many good gamemodes, and I will attach a link as well. My favorite gamemode is Search and Destroy. Teams take turns finding and planting a bomb at the objective. The opposing team tries to stop the attacking team from placing the bomb, and if it is placed, diffusing it. There is also Zombies and Campaign. It is a very fun game overall, and it is one of my favorite.

King of Thieves

In King of Thieves, you take the role of a thief in an empire of other thieves. You set up a base, construct traps and defenses and try not to be stolen from. This game is made by ZeptoLab®, who did Cut The Rope® and many other games. The controls are very simple but challenging. You can't change directions unless you are stuck on a wall. The two currencies in this game are gems and coins, coins being the lesser of the two. There are a few types of traps. Fixed traps are fixed (Who knew?) and cannot move, and will kill on contact. Mobile traps will move on a fixed path and will kill you on contact as well. The traps are saws, cannons, and guards. Cannons could be either, as they fire a projectile but the turret itself will not move. Guards are mobile and saws are fixed. This game is free and rated 9+.

If you are wondering how I did the registered symbol, on Windows you do "Alt+0174" and on Linux is either AltGr + R or Compose key, O, R. most fonts on Windows will also respond to Alt-Ctrl-R.

Halo 4

Halo 4

In Halo 4, you try to beat the campaign and have fun playing the other modes. The campaign is cool, but one trick is to go to missions, click, scroll all the way down through the completed missions, click the last mission, scroll all the way down, click, and when you start, you will be at the mission you left of at. One of my favorite modes is Infinity. Click on Infinity, scroll to Infinity, and click. You will be in a mode where you have a budget, but can spawn in stuff. There is another page, so scroll down. A Mantis is a suit, a Scorpion is a tank, a Banshee flies and switches to missiles if you press Y, a Ghost is like a floating banshee that can't fly, a Warthog is a Jeep with a machine gun, and a Mongoose is a warthog without the gun. Banshees and Ghosts boost if you press LT. This game is $9.99 pre-owned a Gamestop, and $21.49 new. This game is AWESOME and is recommended by me. This game is rated M (17+).

World of Tanks

World of Tanks
In World of Tanks, (WoT) you have few tanks and are trying to destroy, or help destroy, enemy tanks. This game is on both PC, Mac, and Xbox 360 (It will come out on Xbox One, and as of 02/18/2015, the website says it is gearing up to roll out on Xbox One.) Although I prefer Xbox, for mainly the experience and controlls. To get it on PC/Mac, go to www.worldoftanks.com and click on play for free now. It will take you to a different page and will tell you how to download. Don't mess around with which folder it goes into unless you want the actual program and not just the shortcut to appear on you desktop. (In which case change it to desktop.) Make sure you click check on the "create shortcut on desktop" icon. It will usually update, but you can leave the computer running. To get it on Xbox, go to bing, search world of tanks, and go to internet explorer. It is pretty simple from here, but you need Xbox gold to download. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero comes with a 2-day free trial, Halo Four with a 14. You can buy one year of Gold for $59.99 (Also unlocks other downloads, multiplayer on Live, and other stuff), or 3 months for $24.99 (Both at Gamestop). This game can get really complicated and really fun because of all the paths you can take. Make sure to visit the tech tree and watch all the training videos all the wall through to get a reward.
Wipeout 2

In Wipeout 2, you try to go through the course and beat your opponent. If you hit an obstacle you wipe out and have to try again. There are three power ups, speed boost, which gives you quicker movement, teleporter, which teleports you ahead past one obstacle, and rewind, which rewinds you before your crash. This game kinda sucks. The movement is crappy, the game lags, and the power ups are seriously overpriced. This game is free and rated four and up.

Apology

                Sorry...

Hey, guys. I'd like to apologize for not doings blogs for a while. I will be doing a ton more blogs and they will have higher quality. I've been selected  to play for a club lacrosse team and have practices and games on the weekend. I will still be doing blogs, but that is the reason for no blogs. I have also been given a Samsung Galaxy Tab IV for my birthday, so I will be able to do more sophisticated apps. Sorry again, and please suggest more apps for me by sending an email to me at jbfisher2.0@gmail.com. Thank you for understanding.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Hello. Today I will be doing something a little different: an Xbox game. I have an Xbox 360, so some games I can't do. I know the title is JB's App Review -- A Kid's Perspective, but I feel like changing it up and adding some video games as well. If you want me to do a certain app or game, post a comment below. Thanks!

Call of Duty: Advanced warfare is a war based RPG (Hey, I don't make the acronyms! Oh the irony!) which stands for role playing game. In Campaign mode, you take the role of a soldier who signed up for the Marines but then got transferred to an advanced unit. This game features new weapons and abilities as well as new modes. In multiplayer, you can play with friends or CPU and AI controlled players who can be friendly of foes. The two teams are Sentinel and Atlas. In Exo Survival, you chose an Exo (A robotic suit with certain abilities) and try to survive oncoming waves of unfriendly bots and dogs. The Heavy has jump boost, high health, slow move speed, and Heavy weapons. Specialist class has regular everything and SMGs and shotguns. Light has all the boosts, pistols and assault rifles, high move speed and low health. Keep in mind you start out with your scorestreak perk and press the D-pad to the right to activate. I personally like this game a lot and give it a five, so I recommend this game.
